This beautifully situated distillery produces mainly for the blend Johnny Walker. In addition, since 1960, it turns the waste from seven other distilleries into animal feed, in total about 900 tons per week. All wastewater is purified by means of filters and than discharged into the river. In short, a ‘green’ distlillery!!. The distillate goes directly by tanker to Cambus where it is put into barrels and trucked to the Diageo storage in Black Range. Distillery bottlings are extremely rare.
Nose: Warmly spiced, with macerated fruit, sweet barley.
Taste: Spiced with citric fruit and chewy malt
Finish: All neatly replicated with its sugary end fudge-y style
