Ballindalloch (Glenfarclas??), The Maltman, 1989 24 years, 45,0%, 0,7L, First fill sherry cask
This is one of the last distilleries, that are still family owned, namely by the Grant family; meanwhile the fifth generation. Remarkably, the stills are heated by direct gas flames.
Nose: Light pears with cherries and vanilla
Taste: Soft, with toffee and butterscotch, apple walnut, sugared almonds
Finish: Cloves, honey and chocolate
