The distillery was closed numerous times, but in 2001 became the property of Murray & McDavid, an independent bottler, in combination with 25 shareholders. Meanewhile sold to Remy Cointreau.
Nose: Typical Islay with leather and sweetish barley and lots of fruit.
Taste: Sweet and plenty dark fruit followed by chimney soot and a lot of smoke
Finish: Spicy, smoky and burned peat.
